Our Mission
‘To Know God and to make Him known’
Jesus was an outcast, a free thinker, compassionate, faithful to his word, loyal to his band of brothers, courageous, never self seeking, unchanging, believable, trusting, a good listener, a servant warrior, empowering, a man of honor, his word was his bond, a healer, a deliverer, a baptizer, a savior, a comforter, a sure foundation, a miracle worker, a lover of the outlaw, boundless strength and no fear, was kind, wise, loving, disciplined, well informed, a forgiver of sin, a giver of gifts, a lamp to our feet, had a shepherd’s heart, a giver of life, intentional with his purpose, desired that no one would perish, messiah, God incarnate, so trusting, so empowering, commanded the elements, did what he saw his father do, knew what it was to be betrayed, felt the anguish, suffered in silence, beaten with a whip, unrecognizable as a human being, mocked in public, carried his cross, exposed in his nakedness, wore a crown of thorns thrust into his head, nailed to the cross, loss of blood, disfigured face, gasping for breath, dehydrated, felt forsaken, sacrificed his life, breathed his last words, died for our sin, rose from the dead, preached in hell, appeared to his disciples, ascended to Heaven and now is seated in Heaven at the right hand of the father, looking at us, with his out stretched pierced hands reaching to us, offering a way of escape from our sin, so that we might know him and make him known to a dying and sick world.
